Additional: Nearly two years after the breakup of Birthday, Jacob Golden returned to Sacramento for a few weeks to visit with friends and family and also play this amazing show. Despite not being publicly announced, it still drew an enormous crowd, and is the only time I can ever recall the entire bar being totally silent, completely enraptured by the music they were hearing.
Elin Lord (Jacob's girlfriend from London), and Dana Gumbiner (pictured below), were also on hand to play some excellent tunes, and round out the evening's eclectic mix.

Additional: A few overexposed snaps of the Low Flying Owls playing at my favorite pub. An odd show, especially in the wake of Sept. 11th, their regular bass player was still stuck in New York where he'd been attending a short film festival.
